WEEK 6:
Guilford - 8 vs. Clinton - 36
Guilford played a hard hitting game against Clinton on Sunday after a soggy win last week.
To start off Guilford played tough defense in the first half allowing only 3 big plays by Clinton. With Clinton leading by 22 points in the first half they took a time out with 3 seconds left in the half to try another score. The Mean Green shut them down. To start the 2nd half, Guilford came out ready to hit, & hit they did. Notable impact plays were made by Nick "Boulder" Moscato on a 12 yard run, Nick "White Pants" Mascola stunned a much larger Clinton lineman with an audible block, & Cody "the Flash" Cox made numerous tackles during the 2nd half. Nick "Sunshine" Poretta scored Guilford's touchdown with Ben Fazzina providing the 2 point conversion. With time running out in the 4th quarter, Guilford drove the ball 80 yards with some great plays by Korey "Mac" Carregal, Nate Tepley, & Jack Jankura. Guilford needed one last play to score again, but time was not on their side. Final score 36-8.

WEEK 5:
Guilford - 14 at Cheshire - 0
The weather Sunday forced all teams to return to football's fundamental roots in a wet slippery hard hitting game with Guilford facing Cheshire at Kavanaugh Field. Guilford started on a drive highlighted by great runs by Nate "Lil Earl" Tepley, & Nick "Boulder" Moscato. Guilford scored in the first quarter and capped it off with a 2 pt conversion by Ben Fazzina. While on defense, Guilford showed its toughness with great tackles by Nick "Sunshine" Poretta, Billy Conover, & Korey "the Alien" Carregal. After a 3 and out, Guilford marched down & scored again with great runs by Jack Jankura & Ben Fazzina. A missed 2 point conversion made the score 14-0 at the half. Guilford started the 2nd half on defense shutting down Cheshire's drive with more great plays by Cody "Flash" Cox & Dan "the Man" McCloskey. The remainder of the game was marked by a great defensive effort by Guilford shutting down Cheshire each time they drove into Guilford territory. A great hit by Nick "White Pants" Moscarelli, eliminated any momentum Cheshire accrued. The game ended with a soaked 14-0 win for Guilford.

WEEK 1:
Guilford - 14 vs. Amity - 12
Guilford 6th graders faced an equally determined Amity team Sunday at Kavanaugh Field. Guilford struck first after consistently driving the ball right through the Amity defense. The drive was filled with great plays from "Jumpin'" Jack Jankura, & Nick "Sunshine" Poretta.
Once on defense Amity realized what they were truly up against. Great defensive plays were made by Ben Fazzina, Nick "Boulder" Moscato, & Billy "The Hammer" Conover. A few miscues on offense & one on defense lead to a 7-6 lead for Guilford at the half.
Upon getting the ball to start the 2nd half, some great runs by Nate "Little Earl" Tepley, Carm Ciardello, & Ben Fazzina led to a second touchdown by Guilford & an extra point by Nick "Sunshine" Poretta. Other great plays were made by Cody "Flash" Cox, Tony "Goose" DiNitto, & Cory Carregal. Time went quickly in the 2nd half, too quickly for the resurging Amity offense who scored a second time, but could not convert leaving Guilford with a 14-12 win.
