| WEEK 8: |
Youth White - 21 vs. Madison C - 7
The Guilford boys lost a tough physical battle. Despite the loss, there were many great personal performances. Nick (Sunshine) Poretta completed all of the scoring for Guilford on a 65 yard run behind a crushing block by Ben Currier. "Sunshine" also picked up the extra point behind the Moscato side of his line (AJ and Nick). Defensively, Jack Jankura had a huge day with multiple plays made for a loss, including a big sack. Colin Keith and Tony Dinitto had big days at the defensive tackles while Shane Molloy and Sunshine Poretta combined on a big touchdown saving tackle and fumble recovery. Evan Hilgert was strong as always both on defense (with a key second half sack) and on offense by anchoring another strong offensive line performance. The Guilford boys completed a very successful regular season and now prepare themselves for a post-season playoff run. |

| WEEK 7: |
Youth White - 32 vs. Old Saybrook - 20
The Guilford Youth White boys came out with a big offensive effort and defeated a game Old Saybrook team 32-20. In the first half, Guilford had to play catch-up twice. A long TD run by Jack Jankura tied the game at 6 early. At the end of the half, Nick "Sunshine" Perotta got in the end zone on a great second effort run and Ben Currier scored the extra point to tie the game at 13. A great defensive stand led by Currier and a big tackle by Brandon Filley preserved the tie at the half.
In the second half, the Guilford boys really took control of the game. The defense stiffened up and created 3 turnovers led by Evan Hilgert, Tony DiNitto and Nick Moscato. Two more TD runs by Perotta and one by Jack Jankura (plus a Nick Moscato extra point), created a 32-13 lead. From there, the boys cruised to their fourth win of the season. |

| WEEK 6: |
Youth White - 0 vs. East Haven A - 19
After a slow start, the Guilford boys began to find their footing. Despite trailing by 13-0, the Guilford offense really took control of the game from late in the second quarter on. The running of Nick (Sunshine) Poretta and Ben Currier keyed a second half in which the East Haven offense ran just 4 offensive plays. The offensive running attack was led by strong blocking by Anthony Avallone, AJ Moscato and Steve Napoli. Unfortunately, the offense was unable to convert this into points and the game ended 19-0. |

| WEEK 5: |
Youth White - 26 vs. North Branford - 12
The Guilford squad got a total team effort to defeat North Branford in a hard fought battle. After trailing early, Guilford got 2 first half touchdown runs from Nick (Sunshine) Porretta. After the second TD, Shane Molloy took a reverse in for the extra point and a 13-12 halftime lead. From there the Guilford boys never looked back. With a shut out defensive performance in the second half led by Evan Hilgert and Ben Currier, Guilford Guilford victory.began to open up a bigger lead. Great ball handling by Jack Jankura and tough running by Currier, Porretta and Nick Moscato behind the blocking of a strong offensive line led to Guilford controlling the ball throughout the second half. Two TD's and another extra point from Molloy sealed the deal for a big Guilford victory. |

| WEEK 4: |
Youth White - 6 vs. Madison A - 19
Guilford lost a very hard fought battle in a game where the final score was not indicative of how close the Indians played. After an early fumble, the boys drove the ball down inside the 10 yard line. From there, Jack Jankura connected with Shane Molloy for the first touchdown of the game. After that, both teams battled back and forth and went into the half tied at 6. This was despite a beautiful long pass and catch from Jankura to Nick (Sunshine) Porretta.
In the second half, both teams put up a great defensive effort, trading punts back and forth. With four minutes to go Madison broke through with a late TD and Guilford was unable to match it. Only a late interception return created the final score disparity. Guilford got a huge defensive effort from Nick Porretta and Evan Hilgert. Jack Jankura played a solid QB all day - with great ball handling and almost 100 yards of passing, including a TD. |

| WEEK 3: |
Youth White - 6 vs. No. Haven A - 32
The Guilford boys suffered a tough loss, but there were many things of which to be proud. After a tough start, the boys fought back with a long TD run by Big Ben Currier running behind a great block by Brandon Filley. Throughout the second half, tough running by Currier, Jack Jankura and Nick (Boulder) Moscato behind the blocking of Anthony Avallone, Nick Nero and Tony Dinitto controlled the play. Guilford also got a huge defensive effort from Evan Hilgert. |

| WEEK 2: |
Youth White - 26 vs. Tri-Town A - 0
Guilford White came out with another impressive performance on both sides of the ball. After a few strong defensive series, led by Brandon Filley and Remy Lepeak, the offense scored on successive possessions in the first quarter on long runs by Jack Jankura and Nick (Sunshine) Perretta. James Bright added an extra point on a nice catch and Guilford took a 13-0 lead into the second quarter. In the 2nd quarter, Perretta added a 2nd TD behind a strong block by AJ Moscato and Nick Moscato added the extra point on a tough run up the middle.
In the second half, Guilford controlled the ball behind the strong running of James Bright. After a long Bright run in the 4th quarter, Shane Malloy finished off the scoring with a run up the middle for a TD. Throughout the second half, the play was controlled by the strong defensive effort of Guilford's "monster" D led by PJ Malafronte, Colin Keith, Daniel Andrien, Curtis Castellani and Ryan Jillson. |

| WEEK 1: |
Youth White - 13 vs. Cheshire A - 6
Guilford came out fast and aggressive creating a fumble on the opening play from scrimmage. Although the offense failed to capitalize, the tone had been set for a bruising defensive performance all day long. After another quick stop Nick (Sunshine) Porretta returned the ensuing punt for a long touchdown run. Shane Malloy followed by taking a reverse into the end zone for the point after. Guilford took a 7-6 lead into the half on the strength of a tough goal line stand. After Remy Lepeak's saving tackle, the defense withstood 4 plays inside the 10-yard line to preserve the halftime lead. The goal line stand was led by Evan Hilgert's furious play at nose tackle.
In the second half, Guilford's running attack held Cheshire to just one offensive possession. Behind the bruising running of Nick (Boulder) Moscato and Big Ben Currier Guilford drove the length of the field on the opening possession of the second half. Ben Currier's long run around end capped the scoring for the day. After a defensive stop, the offense went to work again. Behind the blocking of Nick Nero and Tony DiNitto, Jack Jankura, Currier and Moscato continued to rip off large gains - eventually running the clock out to preserve Guilford's first victory of the season. |
